ABOUT THE RAMAR SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION FUND

Our Mission

To nourish our community through financial and moral support to deserving students seeking to better their lives through the pursuit of higher education.

Our Vision

We believe that education is the pathway to success and personal fulfillment. As a volunteer organization, we strive to connect our donors intentions with a deserving student body. In assisting both financially and morally the efforts of students to better their own lives, we can enact real and permanent improvement in the lives of our Scholars, and multiply their efforts to improve their communities, countries, and humanity at large. We hope our Scholars might one day participate in the same cause, paying forward their gratitude and wisdom for future generations.

About RSFI

The Ramar Scholarship Foundation (RSFI) fund was founded on the belief that any motivated individual in need should have the opportunity to further their education. By removing some of the financial burdens associated with going to, surviving in, and graduating from college or a trade school, the RSFI plays a vital role in increasing college access and success for many motivated, yet underserved, youth and young adults. The RSFI provides individual grants to those who qualify and reapply yearly, from admission to graduation. The grant can be used to cover tuition expenses and related supplemental educational expenses such as books, lab fees, travel and select costs-of-living.

Founded by the family behind Ramar Foods, Ramon & Maria Quesada believed strongly in the value of education and helping the community to lift themselves up. In 2004, Primo & Evangeline Quesada started the first Scholarship Fund in the Philippines, and as of 2024, more than 100 scholars have been able to attend University in the Philippines, completing their degrees. In 2009, the Ramar Scholarship Foundation was incorporated in the United States, and is helmed by Susie, Gabe, and PJ Quesada, the grandchildren of Ramon & Maria, to carry on the amazing work of their parents, Primo & Evangeline.
